I have just completed my annual film binge by attending the New Zealand International Film Festival. The film that made the greatest impact on me was called Merchants of Doubt. For those of us in marketing and communications, this is a powerful lesson in communications and our ability to change the conversation. Sometimes for good but often for bad.

Over the past 10 years, while Baby Boomers have been retiring in increasing numbers, Millennials (born between 1981 and 1997) have been steadily on the rise. According to Statistics New Zealand, Millennials now make up the single largest age group in the New Zealand labour force, and they’ll make up the majority of the labour force within five years.
