Google

Google has recently announced plans (mobile-friendly search results) to change its mobile search algorithm to give sites that are mobile-friendly higher rankings in search results.

According to Google, over 50 percent of searches are done via a mobile device and this trend is increasing. Making your website mobile-friendly will help your site achieve superior ranking compared to those websites that are not.

So what does this change mean for you? Basically, if you’ve been holding out on implementing a mobile strategy for your business website, it’s time to make this a top priority. Here’s how to do it.

Check your site’s mobile-friendliness
So how would you know if your website is mobile-friendly besides just looking at it? Many people may not be able to confirm that their site is mobile-friendly according to Google standards. Just because they can see their website on their mobile device does not mean that it is a mobile-friendly site. To see if your site is mobile-friendly according to Google, visit this URL and test your site.

As business owners, you should embrace this change and talk to us on how you can step up your mobile presence so you’re not left behind. If you need help, just call COOEEEEEE!

Playing nice on the mobile playground is all about legibility and usability.  Smartphone users don’t want to pinch and zoom their way through web pages anymore, and Google knows that all.
